SENECA GAMING CORP. ANNOUNCES FALL ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP; SHARES SUMMER LINEUP'S ECONOMIC IMPACT

From popular and legendary recording artists to Native American culture, to comedy, to ballet - fall lineup has something for everyone

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - The temperature may be cooling off outside, but Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel (SNC) is proud to bring some of the hottest acts to the facility this fall.

Rob Victoria, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Seneca Gaming Corporation (SGC), managing entity for the Seneca Nation's gaming facilities, announced the facility's fall entertainment lineup at a special kickoff event today.

"The series of special events and engagements here at SNC boast something for everyone, from classic rock connoisseurs to animal lovers," he said.

This fall's Seneca Experience started last night when the legendary blues rock band ZZ Top took the stage for the first time at SNC to avid fans and rave reviews. According to Victoria, last night's concert is just the beginning of a diverse entertainment lineup performed by top-notch artists.

"We've continued our theme of variety from our summer lineup and bring you a wide variety of shows sure to appeal to a broad range of tastes and interests," he said. Victoria also noted that quantity as well as quality reign supreme, with events going on virtually every weekend.

Variety of Musical Acts Light Up the Stage

The 9th Annual Native American Music Awards, or "Nammys" come to Seneca Events Center on October 6. Launched in 1998, it's the first and only national awards show in the world honoring Native American and Aboriginal music initiatives.

Next, American icon Kelly Clarkson takes the stage as part of her "My December" tour on October 26. An unknown prior to her televised debut in 2002, Clarkson has amassed a staggering four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, a People's Choice Award and 11 Billboard Music Awards to her credit.

The legendary duo of Crosby & Nash are set to perform an unforgettable night of timeless songwriting, indelible vocals, and peerless harmonies the very next night, on October 27. David Crosby and Graham Nash ignite the stage with their powerful mix of eclectic music styles, from acoustic folk to eclectic rock.

On November 2, the stage will rock out to the country music sensation that is Gretchen Wilson. Since her debut album took the country charts by storm in 2004, Wilson has never looked back, releasing two more chart-topping albums and winning a Grammy.

One of America's most beloved naturalists and adventures, "Jungle" Jack Hanna gives two presentations in SNC's intimate Bear's Den Showroom on November 4. Host of his own hit television series "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures," Hanna makes the science of studying animals and the great outdoors something everyone can appreciate and enjoy.

Daughtry rocks the stage on November 6. Lead vocalist - Chris Daughtry - formed the band in 2006 and the self-titled debut album sold more than 1 million copies in just five weeks, becoming the fastest-selling debut rock album of all time.

November is also a month dedicated to recognizing the intertribal cultures, the celebrations and way of life, the designs and achievements of American Indians. This is why SGC is honored to host a Grammy Award and ten time Native American Music award-winning artist, Joanne Shenandoah on November 17. Shenandoah is a Wolf Clan member of the Oneida Nation and as stated by the Associated Press, "has become the most critically acclaimed Native American singers of her time."

Just announced today, on Sunday November 18th in the Bear's Den Showroom, Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel will be hosting an intimate evening with Ian Ziering and Mario Lopez, two of the hot stars from the sizzling hit show, Dancing with the Stars! This one-hour event will feature a question and answer period with the TV series stars (plus maybe a few pointers for all you dance enthusiasts!).

Mr. Comedy himself, Bill Cosby, rounds out SGC's November lineup with his show on November 23. Cosby is one of the world's most beloved actors, writers, comedians and of course, fathers. He makes honest and true observations on life that not only evoke laughter, but provoke thought as well.

Wrapping up the fall lineup is the world-renowned Moscow Ballet, celebrating its 15th anniversary U.S. tour by presenting "The Great Russian Nutcracker" on December 14 and 15. This holiday classic is sure to inspire holiday cheer with its timeless music and endearing story.

Most shows will be performed at the Seneca Events Center, SNC's state-of-the-art entertainment facility that boasts the latest in lighting and sound technology most often found in a large venue, but the intimacy and feel of a smaller concert experience.

Big Acts Mean Big Dollars

Victoria also shared the economic impact the summer lineup of shows made to the local region, stating that the Seneca Summer Experience entertainment lineup was an attendance record breaker. Ticket sales, especially from concert goers from outside the Western New York region, exceeded all expectations. "Through Ticketmaster, we are able to establish that almost 3% of the concert goers this summer came from Ohio, with nearly 7% from Pennsylvania and just under 11% from Canada. We were also thrilled to welcome visitors from across the United States, with tickets purchased from: California, Florida, Illinois, Arizona, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Alaska. Our summer entertainment lineup brought dollars and capital that would have otherwise been spent in other areas. People came to Niagara Falls, N.Y. for the concerts, but they stayed to enjoy the lodging, dining and entertainment our region has to offer," said Victoria.

Attendance at the free shows, billed as the "Rock the Falls" concert series and held in Seneca Square at SNC, was impressive as well.

"About 38,000 total people came to see Foreigner, Kenny Rogers and the Dynomite Disco Dance Party in Niagara Falls, NY and the Beach Boys free concert at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca, NY, drew nearly 9,000," said Victoria. "It was amazing to see the crowds these concerts drew."

Victoria is confident the SGC's ability to bring big name entertainment acts will continue to bring fame and recognition to Western New York. "It's through our efforts to make Seneca Niagara and Seneca Allegany Casinos & Hotels premier entertainment destinations that we're able to thrust Western New York into the spotlight and attract a regional audience and national attention," he said.
