KATHY GEORGE NAMED GENERAL
MANAGER AT SENECA NIAGARA CASINO & HOTEL
NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK - Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel
announced today that Kathy George has been named
General Manager, responsible for the day to day
operation of Seneca Gaming Corporation's flagship
gaming property. She joined the company in 2005,
and has served as Vice President of Hotel Operations
at Seneca Niagara since last year.
"When we opened our luxury hotel in Niagara Falls in late 2005, it was a monumental step for Seneca Gaming Corporation and for the Seneca Nation," said Barry E. Snyder, Sr., Chairman, Seneca Gaming Corporation. "Kathy's leadership helped make the opening a tremendous success and has helped Seneca Niagara achieve a sterling reputation."
As Vice President, George was responsible for the operation of the 604-room luxury hotel, its full-service spa and salon and the Seneca Events Center. In her new position, she will oversee all of the operating departments and the nearly 3,000 employees at Seneca Niagara.
"Kathy has been an integral part of our team and I have come to depend on her insight and advice," Brian Hansberry, President and CEO, Seneca Gaming Corporation, said. "She has consistently stepped up to the plate to assume more responsibility to make sure that we have continued to operate as the premier gaming and entertainment destination in the region. She is more than ready to take on this new career challenge."
George is a native of Irving, New York, on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, and graduated from Silver Creek High School.
"We are all very proud to see Kathy achieve such success with our gaming enterprise," said Maurice John, President of the Seneca Nation of Indians. "She is a shining example of what our young people can achieve through hard work, study and determination. The opportunity to succeed is there. I hope that our Seneca students will follow Kathy's example and push themselves to achieve great things."
A graduate of Cornell University, George spent 14 years with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts prior to joining Seneca Gaming Corporation, working in management capacities across the United States.

"When I left home for my first job in Seattle, I would have never dreamed that I would be back here with the chance to work for such a dynamic Seneca-owned enterprise.
