ANOTHER BIG JACKPOT AT SENECA NIAGARA CASINO & HOTEL - Ohio woman walks away with $337,509
NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK - Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel awarded its second large jackpot in a span of four days when Alvira Harmon hit for $337,509.58 Wednesday afternoon.
Harmon was playing a Wheel of Fortune® quarters slot machine when she won the MegaJackpot®.
Harmon and her husband were at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel on a bus trip from their hometown of Mentor, Ohio. As part of the bus tour package, Harmon received $20 in free Seneca Slot Dollars. She was using those promotional incentives when she hit for her big payday.
"All I ever used was from that $20," said Harmon, a retired General Motors employee who celebrated her birthday just a few days before her trip to the casino. "I've never won over a couple of thousand before. It will make life much easier."
Harmon said she plans to use her winnings to pay off her house and her car, and to give some gifts to her children, who were going to make their way to Niagara Falls to celebrate with their parents.
Just four days before Harmon's jackpot, an Ontario woman won $1,306,668.88 playing a 5-cent Monty Python and The Holy Grail·slot machine at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel.
