SENECA NIAGARA CASINO & HOTEL LIGHTS THE WAY FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON - 40-foot tree sparkles with 2,500 lights outside casino's front door

NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK - The spirit of the holidays was out in full force this evening in downtown Niagara Falls.

The Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel held a special Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony across from its Fourth Street entrance. Seneca Nation President Barry E. Snyder, Sr. illuminated the large tree standing on the pedestrian walkway above Seneca Square.

"The holiday season is a very special time to share peace and happiness with everyone," Snyder said, moments before the tree was illuminated. "May this tree shine as a symbol of the wonderful feelings associated with this most festive time of the year."

Then, with a flip of a switch, the area surrounding Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel was awash in the splendor of the holiday season.

Standing at 40 feet tall, the tree is illuminated by 2,500 LED lights and 8 displays along the walkway. Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel received the tree from an anonymous donor in Niagara Falls.

"Seneca Gaming Corporation is very happy to celebrate our fourth holiday season with the people of Niagara Falls and Western New York," John Pasqualoni, President and CEO, Seneca Gaming Corp, said, referring to the casino's opening date of December 31, 2002. "We hope that this year is extremely memorable as we prepare to unveil Niagara Falls' newest wonder in the coming weeks."

The new, 26-story Seneca Niagara Casio & Hotel is scheduled for a partial opening on New Year's Eve. The world-class facility will open an expanded gaming floor, the first 10 floors of guest rooms and two new restaurants for the start of 2006. In all, the new Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel will feature 604 luxury rooms, three new restaurants, a swimming pool and a full-service salon and spa when it is completed in March 2006.

Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel is New York State's first full-service casino featuring reel-spinning and video slot machines. Just a few blocks from world-famous Niagara Falls, the casino is located at 310 Fourth Street. The 112,590 square-foot gaming floor houses more than 3,200 slot machines and 70 table games. A separate smoke-free casino, Turtle Island, is also available to patrons, along with the Poker Room and the high-stakes Blue Heron Room.

In addition to gaming, Seneca Niagara Casino offers several restaurants including Thunder Falls Buffet and The Western Door: A Seneca Steakhouse. Free parking is available to patrons through complimentary valet services, self-parking areas, and a four-story garage with covered walkway. The Casino is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians.
