CASINOS' WINNERS HEADING TO LAS VEGAS
NIAGARA FALLS, NY, March 2005 - Kevin Campbell of Cheektowaga, NY and Mike Simon of Erie, PA are the latest winners in the World Series of Poker Tournaments at Seneca Niagara Casino and Seneca Allegany Casino. Both won the fifth semi-final game Thursday, March 17. The two bested 40 other players each, competing for a spot in the national competition that takes place in June and July 2005 in Las Vegas.
Every Thursday now through April, Seneca Niagara Casino and Seneca Allegany Casino are hosting the regional No-Limit Texas Hold'em games approximately every hour between 10 a.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Poker players register every Thursday beginning at 9 a.m., paying a $40 entry fee. Each tournament is held on a first come first served basis. The winner from each is invited back at a later date to play with approximately 40 other winners in one of the semi-final playoff tournaments; the final being held April 21. An estimated 12 finalists, six from each Casino, receive an all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas, hotel accommodations, $1,000 in cash and their $10,000 Buy-In to the 2005 World Series of Poker finals scheduled for June 3 through July 15, 2005 at the Rio in Las Vegas. The championship will take place at Binion's Horseshoe, also in Las Vegas.
Seneca Niagara Casino and Seneca Allegany Casino, managed by Seneca Gaming Corporation (SGC), are the only Casinos in Western New York that are hosting these Poker tournaments.
