FOR THE LOVE OF HAM, BRONX RESIDENT WINS AT CARIBBEAN STUD POKER
NIAGARA FALLS, NY, March 2005 - Bronx resident Eduardo Ortiz came to Buffalo on March 23 to relax at Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY and to pick up a Casino promotional ham. While playing Caribbean Stud Poker, he won $13,454.51, part of the progressive jackpot.
Ortiz, 28, is a member of the Casino's Seneca Players Club. He plans to use his winnings to help pay for his upcoming wedding in September.
Caribbean Stud Poker players have the option of placing a one dollar progressive jackpot wager prior to the cards being dealt. This bet pays off for hands of a flush or higher according to the Casino's posted payout. If a player is dealt a royal flush, they receive the entire jackpot.
