COMEDIAN/HYPONTIST J. MEDICINE HAT RETURNS TO BEAR'S DEN

Niagara Falls, NY, January 2005 - The ever-popular comedian and hypnotist J. Medicine Hat is returning to Seneca Niagara Casino's Bear's Den Showroom for three performances. He takes the stage at 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, February 1 to 3. Tickets are $15 available at SenecaNiagaraCasino.com, Eight Clans Gift Shop, ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations, including Kaufmann's stores.

Over the past several years J. Medicine Hat has emerged as a premier buzzword for hilarious, fast-paced stage hypnosis. A very successful stand-up comedy career coupled with hypnosis has led to a legendary creation. This combination has been labeled "hypno-comedy" and is an outrageous laugh-fest that has been seen by thousands in sold-out clubs and packed auditoriums throughout the country. J. Medicine Hat has appeared on Showtime, HBO, MTV and Star Search. His concert appearances include The Stray Cats, Damn Yankees, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jerry Seinfeld, Dennis Miller, Pauly Shore, Tommy Chong and many others.

J. Medicine Hat has a somewhat surprising history for a hypnotist and comedian - not only did he work in a slaughterhouse beginning at the age of 11, he was also a political activist/militant.

As a teenager, he became interested in comedy and began doing stand-up. After 10 years at nightclubs, while working at the slaughterhouse by day, he added hypnotism to his repertoire. He had been opening for a hypnotist and felt he could learn this as well. The hypnotist said it would take him at least six months to become proficient. J. Medicine Hat picked it up in less than a week by reading voraciously. He has been using hypnosis in his comedic routine for more than a decade.

J. Medicine Hat claims to have two primary passions - motorcycles and Native American rights. But he still enjoys performing and delighting audiences.
