AN EVENING WITH YES, COURTESY OF SENECA NIAGARA CASINO.

Niagara Falls, NY, July 2004 - The ever-popular progressive rock group Yes is finding its way to Niagara Falls courtesy of Seneca Niagara Casino. The 8 p.m. performance on Tuesday, August 31, will be held at the new Niagara Falls Conference Center at 305 Fourth Street, across from the Casino. Tickets priced at $75, $50 and $30 are on sale now at SenecaNiagaraCasino.com, Eight Clans Gift Shop, ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations, including Kaufmann's stores.

Yes formed in 1968 and has proven to be one of the longest lasting and most successful of the 1970s progressive rock groups. Vocalist Jon Anderson, guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Tony Kaye, bassist Chris Squire and Bill Bruford on drums comprised the original group. The band overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the millennium as the definite progressive rock band.

Yes experienced early exposure by opening for Cream at their farewell concert and Janis Joplin at her Royal Albert Hall concert in 1969, leading to instant acceptance in England. Yes was signed to Atlantic Records and released two albums, "Yes" and "Time And A Word." "The Yes Album" featured their first song to chart in the United States, "Your Move." Many of the songs on the album, including "I've Seen All Good People," would become a permanent part of their concert set. "Fragile" was another big album that featured the hit "Roundabout."

Their next album, released in 1972, is often named as their best, the double "Close To The Edge." Yes followed it up with two more big albums, "Yessongs" and another double album, "Tales From Topographic Oceans." Yes took a hiatus for more than two years to work on individual solo projects. Coming together again with some former members, Yes released two more albums, "Going For The One" and "Tormato," before another three-year break.

Yes announced their break up in 1981, but returned in 1983 with another assembly of talent that yielded a huge hit with "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," a part of the "90125" album that followed. It would be another four years until the next album, the less successful "Big Generator." In 1989, four Yes members released a successful album, but were prevented from calling themselves Yes due to litigation from former band members.

The Yes name was allowed to be used for the 1991 tour. This lineup also released the hit album, "Union." Again with members coming and going "Talk" was released, along with "Open Your Eyes" in 1997 and "The Ladder" in 1999.

On June 21 of this year, Classic Pictures released the DVD "Yes Acoustic" in Europe. This DVD is now at number one on the United Kingdom Music DVD charts. "Yes Acoustic" is the live performance, recorded in front of a Los Angeles studio audience on January 26, 2004. It was premiered on the big screen and simultaneously broadcasted by satellite across 21 Regal Cinema theaters in the U.S., following the showing of a 75-minute version of "YesSpeak."
